What the Birth Boutique offers
Breastfeeding is recommended for at least the first year of your infant’s life.
The Birth Boutique offers high-quality, hospital grade breast pumps for purchase and rent. Our rental pumps are hospital grade, safe, and meant for multi-person use.
Why Will I Need a Breast Pump?
Engorgement Tool - Within the first week after birth your milk will come in and your breasts may become engorged. During engorgement some babies have a difficult time latching. Using a breast pump during this time will help with the expression of just enough milk to relieve the engorgement and enable your infant to breastfeed with an easier latch.
Initiate Bottle Feeding - To prevent the baby from later rejecting the bottle it is helpful to introduce small amounts of breastmilk in the bottle within the first few weeks of your babies life.
Storage & Supplementation - After 6 weeks you will have established your milk supply and you will be able to supplement an entire feeding with the bottle. A breast pump is a necessary tool for storing breastmilk for future feedings when you can not be with the baby and will rely on others to feed him or her- especially if you are going back to work.
Purchase your pump before your baby arrives. You want to be prepared when bringing your baby home from the hospital for all the reasons stated above. We understand it is a large purchase. Ask yourself: If I am unable to feed the baby at the breast- would I still want to give breastmilk? If the answer is “Yes”, you will need a quality pump.
Breast Pump Rental Prices and Packages
- We rent both Ameda Elite and Medela Lactina Breast Pumps)
- Monthly rental ~ $50 (2 month minimum)for any of our rental pumps
At the end of the first month, should you decide to purchase a pump you may return your rental pump early and we will credit $50 towards the purchase of any of our pumps.
- Pumps for rent can be reserved up to 4 weeks prior to your due date so that we can guarantee that we have a pump in stock at the time of your delivery (rental time will start on the day of pick-up to ensure the full two-month rental).
- Rental kit with bag will be purchased separately ~ $65
- Daily rentals available at $8 / day.

We have a staff of moms who have all used The Birth Boutique’s products.
You are entitled to 6-day-a-week support on any pump related issues.
